Upon arrival at Hanoi's Noi Bai International Airport, meet your guide and transfer to your hotel. You will have the afternoon at your leisure before a welcome dinner at a local restaurant with a water puppet show. Stay overnight in Hanoi.

Day 2: Hanoi - Lao Cai by Night Train. (B/L/D) |
|
This full day tour takes you around Hanoi's most interesting sights, our tour guide and driver will pick you up at your hotel in Hanoi then start for the excursion. We will visit the Ho Chi Minh Complex: Ho Chi Minh's Mausoleum and his Stilts House, Presidential Palace and the One Pillar Pagoda nearby, and the Hanoi Old Quarter also known as the 36 streets and guilds. Also on the tour - the Lake of the Restored Sword and Ngoc Son Temple, the Temple of Literature, peaceful West Lake or Ho Tay with lovers Thanh Nien Street, the sedate Tran Quoc Pagoda and QuanThanh Temple and one of the city's museums, either the History Museum or the Vietnam Museum of Ethnology.
In the late afternoon, we will take 1 hour cyclo tour around the Old Quarter of Hanoi.
Please note that the Ho Chi Minh’s Mausoleum is open in the morning only, it is closed on Monday and Friday, and most museums are closed on Mondays.
Free at your leisure until transfer you to the train station for the night train to Lao Cai. Overnight on the train (Share wooden 4 berth cabin – Soft sleeper with A/C).

Day 3: Lao Cai – Sapa – Soft Trekking (B/L/D) |
Arrive at Lao Cai Train station at about 6.30. Take a transfer to Sapa. Have breakfast at local restaurant and explore Sapa Town, visit Sapa market. Check in the hotel.
In the afternoon, you will visit Sapa town and take a 2km short trekking to Cat Cat Village, the home of H’mong minority. Back to Sapa for lunch. In the afternoon visit Ta Fin village with Tafin handicraft shops and explore the daily life of Red Dzao. Overnight in Sapa.

Day 4: Sapa – Hill tribe villages – night train to Hanoi (B/L) |
In the morning, take a drive to visit Lao Chai village – home of Black H’Mong – here you trek through terraced rice fields to villages, meet and talk with locals to learn more about their daily life and habits. You trek through Ta Van village – home of Dzay hill tribe, if you like more trekking, you can keep trekking to Giang Ta Chai through the bamboo forest to the village of the red Dao people if the weather is good and get on car back to Sapa. Free time for relax before transfer to Lao Cai. Have dinner at local restaurant before getting on night train to Hanoi. Overnight on the train (Share wooden 4 berth cabin – Soft sleeper with A/C).

Day 5: Hanoi – Halong Bay. (B/L/D) |
Arrive Hanoi early in the morning, transfer you to a local restaurant for breakfast then depart for Halong Bay. Drive about 03 hours through the rice fields in the Red River Delta to Ha Long city. Upon arrival, check in a junk boat for a cruise around Ha Long Bay with delicious seafood lunch served on board.
In the afternoon, cruise on a boat in the crystalline emerald green water of Ha Long bay, among thousands of spectacular limestone islands and islets and discover Surprising Cave, the most beautiful cave in Halong Bay. The boat stops at an ideal location for Sea Kayaking as we paddle through a maze of islets amid dramatic natural scenery. Explore the many hidden lagoons and stalagmite caves that are not so accessible otherwise. Overnight on junk boat.

Day 6: Ha Long Bay – Ninh Binh (B/L/D) |
|
In the morning, one more kayaking trip around the stunning Ha Long bay and enjoying sunrise before returning to the junk. Lunch served on board while cruising toward Ha Long harbor. Disembark at around 12:00 and drive to Ninh Binh. Upon arrival, check in the hotel and overnight in Ninh Binh.

Day 7: Ninh Binh – Tam Coc – Hoa Lu – Mai Chau Home Stay (B/L/D)
Have breakfast at the hotel, check out and take a short transfer to visit Tam Coc, Tam Coc known as "Halong Bay on land" boasting breathtaking scenery, “Tam Coc” means three caves. After lunch we get on small rowing boats, the boat trip to all three caves takes about two hours. Take a short drive from Tam Coc to Hoa Lu through picturesque landscapes of rice fields, limestone mountains and countryside's villages. We will visit Hoa Lu, the former capital of Vietnam – Hoa Lu, visit two temples dedicated to King Dinh and King Le, the two heroes who lived in 10th century and chose Hoa Lu to build the citadel of the capital city of Dai Viet. Have lunch then drive through the countryside road which is less touristy to Mai Chau. In the evening, you can join in a traditional music and dance performance. Home stay in a Thai family’s house on stilt in Mai Chau Valley.

Day 8: Mai Chau Trekking – Hanoi (B/L/D)
Awake to the sound of nature. Take an early trek around the valley of relax and enjoy the pristine environment and the peace of the countryside and beautiful landscapes with green rice fields.
After Lunch, drive back to Hanoi. Overnight in Hanoi

Day 9: Hanoi - departure (B)
Breakfast at hotel and transfer to the airport for departure flight. End of service.
